The Sensor Systems Technical Commission of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing(ISPRS) will hold its Mid-term Symposium on May, 2024.

III. Background and Context
Established in 1910, the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing(ISPRS) is devoted to the research, education and development of photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. The ISPRS currently has 5 technical commissions and the technical commission I (TC I) is on sensor systems. The TC I has 8 working groups and 3 inter-commission working groups.
The Mid-term Symposium of ISPRS TC I will be held in Changsha, Hunan Province from May 13 to 17, 2024, with the topic of Intelligent Sensing and Remote Sensing Application, focusing on the fields of the sensor systems. Plenary session, technical sessions, technology exhibition and technical visits will be scheduled. During the symposium, an international high resolution remote sensing image interpretation contest(the Gaofen Challenge) and a one-day tutorial will be also arranged. Over 700 experts are expected to participate in the symposium to share the latest researches, advanced technologies, application experience, to discuss the future development and to seek all kinds of international cooperation opportunities.

VI. Call for Papers
The Symposium welcomes papers with the latest results of research and applications of the conference topics, and the selected papers will be considered for publication in:
1.The ISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences (Full paper double-blind peer-review), will be listed in the CPCI, SCOPUS, Ei Compendex and DOAJ.

2.The International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences (Abstract review), will be listed in the CPCI, SCOPUS, Ei Compendex and DOAJ.

Notification of Abstract Acceptance: February 15, 2024
Deadline for Proceedings Paper Submission: April 1, 2024
After the Symposium, selected papers will be recommended for publication in ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing and ISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information.

VIII. Registration, Accommodation and Visa
Registration: Please finish your registration online at the Symposium official website. Registration before February 28, 2024 will enjoy an early bird fee.
Accommodation: Participants will need to pay for their own accommodation. The conference secretary reserved hotels at all levels near the venue and the conference participants will receive the best available rates.
Visa: The Symposium Organizer will assist in issuing the invitation letter for visa processing to China after registration.
